Return Policy

Temporary Policy Update : Due to the potential contamination risks during the COVID-19 pandemic and to ensure the continued safety of our customers and team members, effective April 2020, all returns are suspended until further notice.

Your happiness is important to us - we strive to provide a best in class experience each time you shop with us. However, due to the personal nature of our products - most items are non-returnable.

Non-Returnable Products include but may not be limited to:

  • Personal Care Products

  • Bath Safety Products.

  • Raised Toilet Seats and Commodes

  • All Special Order (*sp) Items

  • All Custom Items (Braces, Cushions, Collars, Pillows, Respiratory)

  • All Clearance Items

  • Anything open, used, or tried-on

  • Custom Wheelchairs

 

​If you no longer desire to purchase an item after the order has been placed, please contact us via email or phone for a Return Merchandise Authorization form once you have received the product. Unauthorized returns/refused shipments will not be accepted or credited.

 

How to Return a Product
  • All returns must have a Return Authorization Number.  
  • Returnable products may be returned up to 30 days after delivery
  • Product must be in new re-sellable condition, safety seals unopened
  • All parts and accessories must be included and in original packaging
  • Shipping Fees are non-refundable and return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.
  • Return orders are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
  • If your return is the result of a defective product or shipping error, Independent Living will refund the entire purchase amount and return shipping costs

Cancellation Policy
In most cases, once an order is placed online, we are unable to make any further adjustments due to the speed in which we process and ship orders. However, your happiness is our priority so please contact us by phone or email to address individual/case specific concerns.
